Dr Mehdi Samani is an experienced General Practitioner with over 15 years of medical experience and a special interest in adult ADHD, neurodivergence and mental health. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare with a focus on thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis and personalised long-term management.

Dr Samani graduated with his medical degree in 2007 and gained extensive hospital experience at Redland Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital before achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Samani is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland, where he is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors.

Dr Samani has undertaken extensive additional experience in adult mental health, working directly alongside consultant psychiatrists in the assessment of complex adult psychiatric presentations. He also worked in a treatment-resistant depression clinic, further strengthening his expertise in the assessment and management of complex mental health conditions.

Dr Samani has a particular clinical focus on adult ADHD and neurodivergence. He provides structured, evidence-based ADHD assessments and ongoing management for adults aged 18 years and over, welcoming patients seeking an initial assessment, a second opinion or ongoing ADHD care. His approach focuses on comprehensive assessment, functional impact, differential diagnosis and individualised long-term management.
