    Dr Dani Partoredjo MBBS, FRACGP

    Dani practices whole family medicine with a special interest in acupuncture, preventative medicine and skin cancers. Another long-standing member of 19 years at Drs at Morningside, Dani enjoys looking at a holistic view of medicine and wellbeing to prevent, as well as cure.

    Our resident musician, Dani can often be heard playing in a band or an orchestra and in his spare time can be found walking on the beach with his dogs.

        Dr Tom Langford-Ely MBBS FRACGP BSc(BioMed)

        Tom practices all aspects of general medicine and especially enjoys building strong Doctor-Patient relationships. With a particular interest in children’s health, preventative medicine and chronic disease management, Tom also maintains an interest in skin checks and skin cancer prevention.

        Born and bred in Brisbane, Tom has been a member of the Drs at Morningside team for five years and is married with a young baby.

            Dr Astrid Drobetz FRACGP

            Astrid commenced her medical career in Vienna before moving to Mackay 12 years ago and then Brisbane in 2017. Enjoying all aspects of general medicine from women’s and men’s health to chronic disease and work-related injuries, Astrid is a valuable member of the Drs at Morningside team.

            Multi-lingual, speaking both English and German fluently, Astrid enjoys skiing and bike riding with her teenage son and when she gets the time, practicing yoga.

                Dr Mario Soteriou MMBS FRACGP

                An experienced medical practioner of 22 years, Mario enjoys all aspects of general medicine – from women’s and men’s health to paediatric health and chronic disease. Prior to joining Drs at Morningside, Mario was based at Mt Morgan in Central Queensland.

                Mario’s particular speciality is the prevention and diagnosis of skin cancers, excisions as well as musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

                Married with 3 children, Mario loves 4WD on the beach, trips to the coast as well as home renovations and visiting family in Adelaide.

                    Dr Ellyn Palfreyman MBBS FRACGP

                    Dr Ellyn is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She completed her initial medical studies in Tasmania, and has since worked in far north Queensland and Adelaide before coming to Brisbane. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, but has a particular interest in women’s health, including family planning, preconception care, pregnancy care, contraception, and sexual health. She is a trained IUD and Implanon inserter. She also rather enjoys infant and child health, and skin cancer medicine and surgery.

                    Dr Ellyn is able to provide GP shared care with Mater Mothers Hospital. She is also able to support women facing difficult decisions regarding their pregnancy, having trained in non-directive pregnancy counselling.

                    Outside of work she loves baking, playing guitar, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and spending time with her cat and family.

                        Dr Melissa Fry MBBS FRCGP

                        A fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University in Townsville. Before joining Doctors at Morningside, Melissa has worked extensively in rural and remote GP settings throughout Queensland.

                        Melissa has a special interest in women’s health, including family planning, preconception care, pregnancy care, contraception, and sexual health. She is a trained IUD and Implanon inserter.  She has two young girls herself so enjoys seeing children as part of her day.

                        Melissa enjoys camping, cycling and spending time with her family.

                            Dr Brian Charters MD, FRACGP, BBiomed Sc, Diploma of Child Health

                            Dr Brian is a passionate GP who enjoys getting to know his patients to improve their physical and mental health outcomes. He is an active listener who provides a friendly, calm environment that promotes a trust based therapeutic relationship.

                            He has undertaken additional studies in a broad range of General Practice and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He is actively involved in providing care for local Residential Aged Care Facilities.

                            Dr Brian’s special areas of interest are:

                            • Skin cancer screening, removal of lesions and all aspects of dermatology
                            • Child health – all aspects
                            • Chronic disease management
                            • Palliative care


                                Dr Mehdi Samani RACGP

                                Dr Mehdi Samani received his medical doctorate in 2007 and worked at Redlands hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital before earning his RACGP fellowship in 2014. He also holds an academic title at the University of Queensland as senior lecturer, fulfilling his desire to teach and pass on his knowledge to next generation of young doctors.

                                Dr Medhi has also worked for a year alongside two psychiatrists at a resistant depression clinic and brought his valuable insight and experience of mental health care to our practice.

                                His special interest are:-

                                • Men’s health
                                • Skin cancer screening and skin excisions
                                • Geriatrics and rehabilitation
                                • Sport medicine and work related injuries

                                Dr Mehdi and his wife welcomed a baby boy into their family in May 2021. He is enjoying this special time with his family. He also enjoys practicing his guitar and his CrossFit workouts.

                                    Dr Brenda Leung MBBS RACGP

                                    Dr Brenda is passionate in all areas of general practice.  She completed her Medical Degree at the University of Queensland in 2015 and was further trained locally in Brisbane and Toowoomba.

                                    Dr Brenda is linked with Mater Mothers Hospital to provide GP Maternity Shared Care and also has completed a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.  She can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
