Dr Elena Fairbairn
MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma in Child Health
Elena graduated from the University of Queensland in 2002. She subsequently worked for a number of years in hospital medicine, particularly in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care, before commencing GP fellowship training. She attained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.
Dr Fairbairn holds a Diploma in Child Health, and is an antenatal shared care GP for the Mater Hospital. She is also is an accredited doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has a special interest in skin cancer. Elena has a keen interest in women’s health, antenatal, skin checks, gender affirming hormone therapy, and all aspects of general medicine.
Elena is a mother of two young children and loves to read, cook and garden in her spare time. She speaks French as a second language. She brings an empathic, non-judgemental approach to her work as a doctor.
